Our Mission

To unite Florida’s licensed zoos, wildlife parks, sanctuaries, aquariums, and animal facilities through collaboration, advocacy, resource sharing, and coordinated emergency response.

What We Do

Florida Zoo Alliance is built around four core priorities:

Advocacy and Government Affairs
We provide a unified voice on Florida legislation, regulations, and public-policy issues that affect licensed animal facilities and responsible animal care.

Emergency Response and Disaster Network
Florida facilities face hurricanes, severe weather, evacuations, animal-health concerns, and other emergencies. The Alliance helps members build connections for sharing transport, temporary holding space, equipment, supplies, and trained personnel when circumstances demand coordinated support.

Resource and Knowledge Sharing
Members can strengthen their operations through a statewide exchange of veterinary contacts, professional expertise, training opportunities, supplies, best practices, and practical information.

Professional Collaboration
Through meetings, workshops, regional gatherings, and ongoing communication, we help animal-care professionals build relationships that benefit their organizations, their teams, and the animals they serve.
